Job Title:  Communications and Marketing Volunteer
Reports to: Fundraising and Communications Officer
Salary: Voluntary Unpaid (expenses covered)
Location: Remote working

 

About Us:

Ness M Care Foundation (NMF) is a charity dedicated to supporting activities that improve the quality of life for people cared for at home and their carers here in the UK and abroad. We provide information and advice, run services in and around local communities and campaign so that people at risk and those with living with health/social care needs are socially included.  

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled volunteer with an interest in social care, charity communications, marketing, and a creative flair to help us deliver effective communications and marketing activities to reach our various audiences.

Availability: 

  • Able to volunteer 4-6 hours every week

  • Available for at least 3 months minimum

 

Summary of duties: 

  • Help to create engaging content for Ness M Care Foundation's social media channels

  • Work with the Fundraising and Communications Officer to maintain Ness M Care Foundation's website

  • Monitor social media activity

  • Gather community stories

  • Create branded collateral and other promotional material

  • Support campaigns, marketing, events and fundraising activities

Person Specification:

Essential Experience

Qualities and Skills Required:

  • Experienced social media user (particularly Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Creative writing and design abilities

  • Good computer and digital skills

  • Enthusiasm for communications and marketing and willingness to learn

  • Good organisational skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills,and able to work as part of a team
